Things Our Friends Have Written on the Internet

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / Magazine & Newspaper Design / Entire Newspapers / 2010

We’d been thinking for a while about how to combine the best of all things digital with what’s great about analogue technologies, when we discovered how cheap it is to print newspapers. So we took some blog posts our friends had written and printed them as a newspaper. We learned a lot about combining web tropes with print conventions, about negotiating with printers, and about what to do with 1,000 newspapers when you only have 23 friends.
