The Human Rights Campaign was in full force for 2009 with many high-profile projects and endorsements. The theme ‘End the Lies’ was a way to raise awareness with a very direct approach, using the words of those speaking out, for and against, the HRC. The oversized self-mailer format and lightweight eco-friendly papers helped drive the design, but the HRC2009 report also uses visual verbiage to convey the thoughts, issues and other challenges facing the HRC. Direct quotes set in bold typography convey the impact and importance of the report, while the distinct colour scheme gives a little softness (and individuality) to the otherwise text-heavy report.
