TheGreenEyl was commissioned by the Stiftung Jüdisches Museum Berlin to create a piece for an exhibition on food and religion. Four festivities celebrated by people of different cultures are assembled in an archetypal scene of congregation. Visitors approaching a table filled with empty dishes discover that these are actually telling personal stories about food andrituals. The contents change according to the dishes’ positions. Similarities and peculiarities of different food ceremonies are explored in a playful and entertaining way. By changing table constellations, the visitors reveal more stories and become part of a participatory spectacle.
