If Garrick Hamm had a single-minded proposition during his time as D&AD Education Chairman, it would have been… you guessed it… education. It’s a no brainer then that the central theme for the Annual of his tenure should be all the great things D&AD does to develop new talent and bring new thinking to the industry. Garrick manipulated design master Peter Saville to take on the brief to visually demonstrate the potentially very dull task of showing that your money does this really important job. Peter also took on the task of mentoring graduate designer Luke Sanders, ensuring the process itself was an education. The end result is a lesson in design for us all.
