Free Range Exhibition Catalog
Wood Pencil / Book Design / Book Front Covers / 2010
Describing the conceptual nature of sculpture requires an expression of the same symbolism. Presented during the opening of the Free Range exhibition, this catalogue gave visitors an alternate lens with which to view the intentionality and philosophy of the participating 2009 RISD Sculpture Graduates. The faux snakeskin cover was a reaction to the animalistic andtextural nature of the work in the exhibition. Custom cattle ear tags became a conceptual side-stitching approach and a way to date and number these limited editions.
