Award: Graphite Pencil

Graphite Pencil / TV & Cinema Communications / TV Promotions, Stings & Programme Junctions / 2009

Saddam and his family 'melt' before our eyes representing the downfall of a dynasty. Having no access to the actors, we used various takes from the stills publicity shoot to create movement; we also used stand-ins for close-ups. The melting effect was not something we had seen before, and was created by merging a live shoot of paint dripping and post production techniques on the stills.
