Dom and Helena Wedding Invite

Award: Graphite Pencil

Graphite Pencil / Graphic Design / Greeting Cards & Invitations / 2009

In October 2008, director of Mash, Dom Roberts, married the beautiful Helena. Dom took a week away from other projects to concentrate on creating an unusual and memorable piece for the wedding invitation. The theme: the notion of growing old together. Face shots were taken of the bride and groom which were used as a basis to create a chronological representation of their ageing faces into the future: 10, 20, 30 and 40 years into the future, growing old together. The scarily realistic results were printed in an A5 booklet on uncoated paper with thread stitching, packaged in a specially designed pack and printed with one-colour ink. Many a laugh was had by those invited to the big day.
