A Los Invisibles
Graphite Pencil / Magazine & Newspaper Design / Entire Newspapers / 2008
A Los Invisibles (To the Invisibles) is a photographic documentary about illegal immigration in Spain. The pictures were taken in Morocco, Senegal and the Canary Islands between 2002 and 2007. A broadsheet sized newspaper enhances the drama of Consuelo Bautista’s stark black and white photographs. It is also the fastest and cheapest way to reach the general public. The newspaper was distributed for free in Barcelona by illegal immigrants. The cover of the newspaper was left blank and the title was printed backwards on the inside cover to suggest invisibility.
