The film employs highly dramatic, cinematic scenes that focus on extreme moments in life. The scenes feature lone persons being subject to acts of stylised violence, which are sometimes self-inflicted. Each scene flows into the next, building up tension beneath a choral soundtrack. The lives depicted, hounded by death, are the raw material and inspiration for the plays staged by the Zurich City Theatre.
