The film opens with a young page rushing back to the palace before dusk. He finally makes it to the palace, scales the walls and sneaks past members of the royal family playing tennis and diving into a dark swimming pool. He races down a corridor where human lamps are getting ready for the evening, The human chandelier watches anxiously as the king makes his way to the dinner table. The page arrives just in time to slip into his position as the central piece of the chandelier. He pops a Happy Dent into his mouth and on cue, the whole chandelier lights up, followed by the human lamps, the car headlights and the tennis court floodlights.
