We are in an asylum. A 40-year-old woman is visiting her mother, a tender old woman of 70. She doesn't recognise her daughter, because she suffers from Alzheimer's. She starts to tell a story to her daughter, saying that today she asked her aunt to hide her under her bed. Her daughter asks why. She replies that her father is coming. The screen fades to black with the following title: "An abused child never forgets."
