Wood Pencil / TV & Cinema Advertising / TV Commercials 41 - 60 Seconds / 2007
A group of underprivileged children put on a play, using props and costumes found on the street, to ask viewers to go shopping for them. However, the items they request – a decaf skinny latte, a foot spa, mascara – are not what we would expect disadvantaged kids to want. At the end of the ad, we learn that when people shop using a Nedbank credit card, a portion of what they spend goes to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. The kids depicted in the ad know that no matter what people buy, they will ultimately benefit. <br/>Many of the children featured in this ad were from orphanages and homes around South Africa that receive financial assistance from the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund.
