iPod Shuffle

Award: Wood Pencil

Wood Pencil / Product Design / Leisure / 2007

iPod shuffle is the world's smallest digital music player and is available in five colours: blue, pink, green, orange and the original silver. It holds 240 songs (1GB), yet is just half a cubic inch in volume and weighs half an ounce. The integrated clip allows it to be worn on clothing, and the controls are designed to be intuitive: play, pause, skip, repeat and shuffle are easily found without having to look at the player. iPod shuffle comes with a USB dock that, when plugged into a Mac or PC, works with iTunes to fill the player with as many songs, audiobooks and podcasts as it can hold. Using AutoFill, this can be done automatically with one click.
