Brief: To announce the launch of the new St. Lucia to Manchester route, using Virgin Atlantic's wit and cheeky tone of voice. Virgin Atlantic has a history of employing uncomplicated but iconic graphic images to launch their destinations; this brief was no exception. We needed to draw on this heritage and come up with a single visual that married the brand seamlessly with its new destination. <br/>Solution: We used the shape of a banana, one of the island's most important exports and part of the St Lucian landscape, to mimic a 747 aircraft. In doing so we inextricably linked the destination with Virgin Atlantic in their trademark style.
