A thought-provoking Christmas gift from Tango in the form of a large format booklet that contrasts some pretty bleak observations about Christmas with some rather jolly Christmas imagery. The juxtaposition of hard truths and Christmas wrapping paper produces a wry, knowing smile rather than belly laughs, but acts as a commentary on the commercialism of Christmas. Questioning why we give, what we give and who benefits with some harsh examples of consumerism makes for an interesting and certainly different approach to the corporate Christmas card. Tango has underlined the fact that in the Christmas of the 21st Century, nothing is sacred, and indeed, perhaps a reality check is a more appropriate mail-out than pictures of Rudolph.
