Horizons
Wood Pencil / Graphic Design / CD, DVD & Record Sleeves / 2007
The entire packaging has been designed to function as a calendar, with movable strips within the front cover and the CD itself that are used to track the passage of time. The calendar concept is intended to be a reference to the name of the album, 'Horizons', which not only suggests the idea of looking to the future, but also reflects the band's ongoing evolution towards a mellower and more contemplative sound. The liner notes and production information are printed using a special silkscreen process and are designed to gradually fade away with regular use. The slow 'decay' that results from this biodegradable printing makes each of the individual CD covers a living art piece.
