The Writer’s Little Black Book
Wood Pencil / Writing For Design / Graphic Design / 2006
The Writer helps organisations with their tone of voice, writing for them and training their people to become more creative writers at work. So they live and die by their words. They wanted a brochure that did not feel like a brochure. One that would look so beguiling, so intriguing, that it would be passed onto friends (and it has - even to Brussels and Tel Aviv). A brochure that would make the message feel precious and compelling. It had to be 'booky': short, simple, wittily written, elegant, and intelligently designed. And no pictures. Writing and typography had to tell the whole story. So, The Writer wrote their ten secret rules of business writing, and R&D&Co made it look like an utterly essential, and beautifully understated, business almanac.
