iPod (with video)

Award: Yellow Pencil

Yellow Pencil / Product Design / Health & Leisure / 2006

Measuring less than half an inch thick, the new 30GB iPod takes up about 45 percent less room than the original iPod. The 30GB and 60GB models are available in black and white, and have a bigger display than the fourth-generation iPod. The new iPod boasts up to 20 hours of battery life, five hours more than before. With its 320x240 pixel QVGA colour display, the iPod lets the user view photos and watch Mpeg-4 and H.264 video. The optional iPod A/V cable allows for video and photo slideshows with music to be played on a television, or combined with the new Apple Remote and an optional iPod Universal Dock to control music, videos and slideshows from across the room.
