Created as an inspiration swatch for designers to promote the ArjoWiggins Curious Collection, a unique laboratory-developed range of papers, boards and plastics, this promotional brochure is designed to highlight the benefits and usability of unusual printing surfaces. The deluxe 64-page hand-bound specimen booklet utilises 16 stocks selected from the five ranges in the collection: Translucents, Particles, Metallics, Touch and Plastics. The booklet is printed in over 21 special colours throughout and includes fluorescents, metallics, UV varnishes and clear foil blocking. It comes presented in a special holofoil blocked short-fall slipcase, that acts as a reference point for information on the stocks used in the booklet. The piece is specifically designed as an access point to the ranges and to highlight the diverse surface properties and colours of stocks in the collection. The design uses a simple approach by way of a series of graphic patterns to mask out and highlight the unprinted areas of the page. The booklet is perforated throughout in multiple positions to enable the user to deconstruct the pages for samples and reference.
