American consumers were shocked to learn that in addition to designer handbags, watches and sunglasses, MINI Coopers were being ‘knocked-off’ overseas, smuggled into the country and sold on the streets at 'too good to be true' prices. This DRTV spot offered viewers protection in the form of an educational DVD, produced by a consumer watchdog organisation known as the Counter Counterfeit Commission or the CCC.
