The city of Kassel commissioned ART+COM to present the documenta exhibitions in mobile form through digital media. This contemporary art exhibition, the largest in the world of its kind, went on tour in a 15 metre long truck as part of Kassel's application to become the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010 and to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Inside the truck in front of the original posters from the eleven documenta exhibitions is an 11 metre long interactive table installation. A touch-sensitive projection surface on the tabletop makes the exploration direct, informative and playful. Interacting with the installation familiarises the visitor with the cultural milestone of the 20th century. A particular highlight is the installation's change from independent learning to a more linear mode, taking the visitor on an audio tour of Kassel. The documenta mobil was parked in front of museums and was therefore visited by tourists and museum visitors.
