Desktop is a digital portfolio for Net#work BBDO advertising agency to be sent to potential clients and employees. The portfolio is designed to capture Net#work's playful spirit, fun working environment and their commitment to creativity. The deliberately unstructured interface plays off the simple gag of being a desktop, with projects hidden inside a real school desktop environment. The navigation is simple to use but challenging at the same time, encouraging the viewer to interact, explore and discover. It is a blend of digital craft, including a full frame photographic stop frame navigational environment, and combined with quirky illustration and hand drawn typography to match the differing projects within the portfolio. Gloo helped extend the traditional experience of a CD-ROM by developing innovative email and mobile phone technology, which allows users to send video clips and imagery that they view within the portfolio to email addresses or mobile phones.
