Born at the end of the 80s and at the beginning of the 90s, raised in different parts of Germany, Dorian and Daniel always had the same ambition... telling visual stories. When they both started studying commercial directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2012, their paths crossed. They started working as a directing duo while studying. Sometimes funny, sometimes emotional, but always big pictures.
The purpose was to create a car commercial that takes the humour to the limits and presents the product as the saviour making it part of the story. It was key for us to create sympathy for the people in the village while the humour is very dark. As the spec ad was shot in a small German village the biggest task was to make it look British.
