Angie Bird: Give Registry

Director's Profile:
Born and bred in Melbourne Australia, Angie Bird has been behind the lens since she was old enough to hold her first disposable camera. She was inspired to capture life’s honesty, and on graduating she moved to Toronto as an advertising art director. She then transitioned in to directing, where she was able hone her storytelling skills.
She currently splits her time between Toronto and Melbourne.

Film Description:
A rarely discussed reality is that most women who suffer family violence often escape with nothing but their lives.
MYER and The Salvation Army banded together to create the Give Registry – A collection of essential items that women need most when they're starting over. The film features a haunting real interview Bird conducted with victims of family violence.
