New Blood Entry — The Teaches of Peaches: Site that gives you sore eyes.

XL Recordings challenged us to promote the re-release of an iconic album. We chose The Teaches of Peaches, an electroclash, feminist punk record for the ages. We captured the chaotic attitude of Peaches music and communicated her bold sense of humour. Her low-tech, DIY approach to music creation gave her sound an erratic quality which was important to translate visually. Unfortunately, we could not create our concept with Editor X so had to use animation software. We modelled the unconventional UI from the Roland Synthesiser she used, and the backgrounds from found footage of her live shows, old sex-ed videos and other strange imagery. The website includes a photo editor, customisable music visualiser and arcade game, with a shop and streaming links, to appeal to fans both old and new.
