We were set the challenge of designing a visual identity for a book with only the synopsis to go off. On top of that, we had to keep our audience of young families in mind. Audible is all about the celebration of words and, in this case, encouraging children to be interested in them. We wanted to reflect this in our identity through using expressive typography, as it gets people excited about words and is the nearest thing to hearing. By identifying the different noises that we could create with the letters, we designed a dynamic identity which has expressive typography at its heart.
