The fishing community has a monster problem, scarier than any sea creature. Depression. Fishermen spend a long time out in signal-free-seas, with no way to reach out for company. Combined with the fact that most of us inland don’t think much about our coastal towns, the isolation takes its toll. But with exciting new Low Earth Orbit satellites beginning to fill our skies, giffgaff have the opportunity to cast their 5G network out to sea, giving UK seafarers signal for the very first time, and with it, access to a huge community of friendly land-lovers ready for a chat.
