New Blood Entry — Fur for Animals

My intent was to create a piece that makes an explicit connection between a luxury item of fur clothing and it's prior living history, reminding viewers of the horrors that billions of animals are subject to each year. It is the stealing of another's skin, the conscience or unconscious endorsement of mass killings for one's own vanity which I want to challenge and raise awareness of. However, and importantly, I wanted to avoid the use of graphic imagery, instead opting for something subtle yet powerful.
