Open Brief - Make Your Mark / 2013

Challenge How can we tell the advertising world about Dmitry & Oleg and get proof that we are a highly professional creative pair? Solution We travelled to Cannes to meet 33 gold lion winners and members of the jury. We asked them to write one letter on a sheet of paper and put their signature beneath it. Finally, we joined the letters to make sentences of recommendation. Key fact All the people have known about the idea before participating in the project. So they were not just writing letters, they were giving real recommendations. Direct Cannes is the best place to meet people who can hire you. They are famous and busy and you have no other opportunity to contact to them. Being involved in the idea, they gave us their recommendations and made us job offers. It was an immediate effect! Once they were back home, they received the print out and video result from us and shared it on Facebook and agencies’ blogs! Result - Sir John Hegarty, Jeff Goodby and creative gurus from all over the world gave us their recommendations; - about 100 professional magazines wrote about the project; - 30 000 views of the video; - 1000 visitors on www.dmitryandoleg.com every day; - 24 job offers.
