Insights:
When available, natural light only falls on one row of stalls leaving the opposite stalls in darkness. This causes some stalls to be lit bright while the others are gloomy.

Solution:
“The Lamp” has a unique canopy system. The canopy is made up of reflector panels, which can be rotated to reflect natural light into the stall when needed. When closed they act as a protective layer from occasional pigeon droppings.

Insights:
Access to power is a common problem. The ground sockets are only placed in certain areas, which means that if you are unlucky in the stall placement you might end up without power. Some vendors choose to go a long way to get power, due to this, trailing wires can be seen.

Solution:
“The Lamp” uses a modular system for solving problems due to low accessibility of power. Each unit connects into the next creating a circuit whereby the one closest to the power supply provides power to the rest of the connected units, therefore eliminating trailing wires on the floor.
