A hybrid-net that can be used as a mosquito or fishing net through the power of water-soluble materials.
We have created the net in response to a recent trend of reusing mosquito nets as fishing nets in developing countries. This has become so widespread that marine ecology in areas of coastal Africa is starting to be affected.
Our key aims are to provide a tool that will fight malaria while giving families in Africa the ability to fish in a sustainable way. The crux of our idea is to create a dual-purpose product that can achieve multiple goals.
