D&AD Portfolio Surgeries provide the most promising final year students with the opportunity to showcase their work to leading creative professionals and get invaluable face-to-face feedback and advice. Professionals from across the UK will host these sessions and students from D&AD University Network courses in the North West of England can apply to take part.

To coincide with the D&AD Global Student Awards Call for Entries Season, D&AD will be giving an inspirational lecture and screening of D&AD Global Awards and Student Awards winning work from previous years. This event will provide the opportunity for student entrants and tutors to ask any questions before preparing their final work for submission. This is a must-attend event for all Higher Education students and tutors.

Dick Powell is one of Europe's best-known product designers. Since forming Seymour Powell, with his partner Richard Seymour, in 1984 the consultancy has risen to a commanding position on the international stage, with clients as diverse as Renault, Ford, Minolta, Tefal, Casio, Tumi, JCB, Dualit, Unilever and Nokia. Dick will be reviewing his career and revealing his inspirations.

D&AD Workout is a creative training programme designed specifically by creative practitioners for the ideas people working in advertising and design agencies. D&AD will be running a free Workout taster session on 21 February with professional creative trainers Mandy Wheeler and Luke Sorba. In two and a half hours you'll experience what D&AD Workout is really all about. There will be games and creative thinking exercises that will help you recognise what can block you creatively - and how to remove those blocks. There will also be the opportunity for you to tell us what you need to know, and we'll help you navigate your way through our brochure and find the best courses for you.
