Knock-off Pencils?

No of course you can't buy a Yellow Pencil on the cheap. They are, as D&AD President Simon Waterfall rightly says: “rarer than a barrow boy with a full set of pearly whites”.

There's only one way to get your own, and that's to win it.

Find out who gets their hands on the goods this year at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 15 May.

We're at the Royal Festival Hall, on London's South Bank - an amazing venue where winning work will be given pride of place.

The Pencils will be presented by Simon Amstell, so even if you're not up for an Award, you’ll be guaranteed a laugh.

The party continues in the Royal Festival Hall Ballroom. There will be creative collaborations from illustrators Le Gun and designers Studio 8 will provide the backdrop to what promises to be a pretty special night, with contributions from Jason Bruges Studio and Not Actual Size adding an extra dimension.

There'll be the usual variety of booze on offer with a cocktail bar or two chucked in for good measure, and plenty of culinary surprises to soak it all up.

And as for the music, well it's going to be live this year, with a pretty top line-up (even if we do say so ourselves).
Portico Quartet
Hot Chip (DJ)
The Cuban Brothers (Live)
Andrew Weatherall (DJ)
Golden Silvers (Live)
