Q
What years do you appear in the annual?
2010
Q
Indicate your key areas of interest in the creative industries and how you want to support D&AD's aims and ambitions?
I'm interested in Cross Media Design.
Since I am active in many fields, I can see things from various angles.
So I believe I can give a combined creative solution for D&AD.
For instance I consider D&AD needs to strength the coordination of graphic, video and poster. Usually posters just lead a viewer to the website, but I am confident that I can connect them to make a synergistic effect.
Q
Why should I vote for you?
I'm based on London and Tokyo, then I also know both Asia and EU very well.
I suppose it's the problem that D&AD has too strong image of London's award.
It must be the award of the world. I would like to bridge EU and Asia.
It is the time to bring D&AD into the rest of the world and change it's image.
Q
Any other comments or anything else you would like to add?
I perceive design as a "Visual Language", and work in the realm "between art and design".
My diverse practice extends across different disciplines providing me with experience that broadens my point of view.
Q
Which piece of creative work do you wish you'd done and why?
Total branding for museums.
Because I believe design build total brand value
and that will be able to change thinking of people.
I often do it for companies but I keen to do it for museums as a next step.
Q
Who has inspired you most in your career?
"Helmut Schmid"
His design which is based on swiss typography including the ideal balance of "restriction and freedom". I am really impressed by the beauty of it.
Q
What do you know now that you wish you'd known at the start of your career?
Culture and design of various countries.
Q

ISETAN Show window & the stage.
the stage http://www.artless.co.jp/alog/interior-and-product/625/
show window http://www.artless.co.jp/alog/interior-and-product/515/
Because I started my career as a graphic designer, it was challenging for me to convert my graphic into 3D.
Q
Can you tell us about the best moment of your career so far?
When I won some prizes include D&AD, CANNES LIONS (GOLD), ED AWARDS / European Design Awards, Vuoden Huiput (Top of the Year Finland) for the Motion graphic "Urban Abstract" for channel 4 (TV station) / Helsinki Finland.
Because this work reflected my pure creativity, I was so glad that it was evaluated highly.
