The blank page, the afternoon staring out the window, the morning staring at YouTube, the ideas fairy, the creativity tree, the shower, the sixth pint, the bus home, the self-doubt, the system of tried and tested techniques.
This session looks at one of the most crucial, but least analysed, areas of the creative industry: how to have ideas. It will open your eyes to a series of new idea-generation techniques (‘the idea system’), and involve you in exercises where you work in teams to generate and present ideas.
Jill Meager is a Cambridge-educated consultant and qualified psychodynamic counsellor with a deep understanding of theoretical approaches.
You will go away with a greater insight into the creative process and a series of new techniques that you can put into practice straight away. The session will help you unlock your imagination, generate new ideas fast, and have more confidence in your creativity.
Level 2: This session is aimed at people who need to think creatively or support others who do. It’s primarily for those who have some experience of working to creative briefs, or those who want to re-energise their creativity.
“Having been a creative for so long, you get very comfortable in your own ways. This was great – creatively reinvigorating.”
Wayne Smith - Senior Creative Copywriter, Global Radio
“Really enjoyed it – good to meet other creative folk, drop boundaries, collaborate and develop new ways to get award-winning ideas.”
Ben Da Costa - Digital Creative, Jam (part of The Engine Group)
