How to beat the competition - presentation skills & interview techniques
First impressions count. And if it's a job you're after, they can count for a great deal. Why risk getting it wrong when you can so easily get it right? With some of the fundamentals solved your work will be able to speak for itself.

You may think 'It's alright for them, they've been in the business for years and they don't know what it's like now.' So, who better to get advice from than the people who have just got a job? They can give you the whole truth, and nothing but the truth - without the rose-tinted glasses! Come and learn from other people's experiences.

How to start your own business
Do you have big ambitions and big plans? Avoid the big mistakes by hearing from the people who made them first and came out the other side. Two very different start up operations will give you the benefit of their wisdom and an insight into the pleasure and the pain of getting a creative business off the ground.

With our panel of creative agony aunts and uncles you can be sure someone here will be able to answer your question – no matter how seemingly unimportant it may be. If you prefer, submit it anonymously.

How to make your ideas your own - copyright and idea protection
Creativity is a difficult thing to ‘own’. Once your idea is out there, how do you ensure that you get the credit? Let the lawyers at Design Protect give you an insight into your legal rights and get you thinking ahead.
