Over 500,000 students at CNA, a language school in Brazil, wish to speak English fluently. But few have the chance to travel abroad to practice it. So, the school collaborated with FCB São Paulo to connect students with native English speakers who just happened to enjoy the company. Bringing students together with seniors living in America's retirement communities made for a more real, more human learning experience, improving not only their English but also their interpersonal skills. The seniors also benefitted from the more regular and personal interactions. The conversations were recorded and uploaded to a private YouTube channel so that teachers could evaluate the students' developments.
