Photographer Pieter Hugo's series There's a Place in Hell for Me and My Friends is a selection of portraits shot entirely in colour and converted to monochrome through an elaborate process of colour channel manipulation. The effect highlights the pigment in the subject's skin, making them appear blemished. Technically and artistically insightful, this approach marries wonderfully with revolutionary composer and conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen, who was shot in such a way for Port.
