Typically, air freshener ads contain lots of clichés. To set Air Wick apart from its competitors, Droga5 created Home is in the Air, a spot that tells the story of how air ties homes together. Shown from the visual perspective of the air itself, the film takes viewers on a journey around a home, through the breeze in the kitchen to the whirling ceiling fans, under the sofa, up the stairs, through air vents and floorboards and back to the living room. Droga5 built a custom camera rig, breakaway set pieces, and scale models to execute the sweeping viewpoint that makes the spot so captivating.
