‘2355 ID’ is a short film used as a teaser in ‘2355’, a five-minute TV programme aired from 11:55pm every weekday on the educational channel of NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation). The programme’s aim is to be enjoyable viewing by airing a short composition of interesting features at the end of the day. ‘2355 ID’ is aired between features and announces the programme’s title ‘2355’ in different ways. Various techniques are used to create an ‘ID’, but they all have the same aim: to alert viewers to an ‘interesting element’ inside each film.
