Not only born in Münster, Germany, Mike studied there as well- at the University of Applied Sciences Münster. 4 years and one or two twists of fate later Mike moved to London to Freelance under his label, stereoplastic.com. After a couple of months with daily fish and ships he moved to Hamburg to start first as a Senior Designer at Razorfish (2000-2002), then as an Art Director at Elephant Seven (2003), as a Creative Director at BBDO Interone (2004-2007) and as a founding partner and Head of Creation of blackbeltmonkey in 2007.
In addition his studio based practice Mike is member of the Art Directors Club and lectures at various design schools in Hamburg. During his 10+ years of work in digital and design he has won numerous national and international awards, such as ADC, Cannes, Epica, New York Festivals, Cresta and many more.
