Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson creates identities for Save the Children, More Th>n, Think London and the BFI, often creating bespoke typefaces in the process.

Historically London-focussed, johnson banks now work in France, Japan and the USA.

Michael has won eight pencils from D&AD and has several dozen designs in the V&A's collection. He co-curated D&AD's 40th anniversary Rewind project, was D&AD president in 2003 and held a solo exhibition of his work in Tokyo in 2004.

His book 'Problem Solved' (Phaidon 2002) is now in its fifth printing. The Guardian recently named him as one of the UK's top 50 designers. He writes regularly for the British media, lectures worldwide, and edits the strangely popular johnson banks blog, 'thought for the week'.
