Matt Lambert
Director
At 27 years old, Matt Lambert has logged close to ten years in the world of the moving-image. Fueled by caffeine and punk-rock and a desire to make his audience squirm, Matt is now an emerging director with the visual storytelling outfit, 1stAveMachine.
This came by way of the design/animation/VFX world in Los Angeles, Germany and London before landing in New York to direct full-time. His work has been featured in OneDotZero, Siggraph, IDN, Promax/DBA, ComputerArts, Stash, Grafuck and numerous other festivals and publications.
In addition to the directing thing, he also plays an active role in the industry. As Associate Editor of Motionographer, he has watched the evolution of the mixed-media world over the years from the front row. Matt is also a regular lecturer at Pratt University and has appeared at SVA, F5, FITC, OFFF and the ADC.
His mother thinks his work is ‘too scary’.
