Phil Crowe
Senior Flame Artist and Joint Head of 2D - The Mill, Los Angeles
Phil has been at the Mill for over 10 years and has worked on numerous award-winning commercials including Cannes Gold Lion 2008 Winners - Levis ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ and Axe ‘Chocolate Man’. Phil has developed strong working relationships with directors including Fredrik Bond, Michael Hausmann, Tom Kuntz, Ivan Zacharias, and Brian Beletic and worked regularly with Ringan Ledwidge on numerous projects including Levis ‘Dangerous Liaisons’ which also went on to win a Clio, D&AD and a BTAA in 2008.
In 2007 Phil relocated to LA to help set up the 2D department. His LA portfolio includes OldSpice ‘Different Scents’ (Wielden & Kennedy), the viral add for Tracfone ‘Microwave’ (Droga 5), New Balance ‘Anthem’ with Fredrik Bond and for 2009 Super Bowl - ‘Chase’ for Audi directed by Ivan Zacharias (Smuggler). Phil’s first award win was the MTV moon man for Madonna’s video ‘Frozen’ (Chris Cunningham) Which won a VMA for special effects in 1998.
