“It’s been nearly 24 years since I started my career in Soho. In those early days it was all analog – that’s tape and razor blades. The words “Sound Design” was not was not in the vocabulary, (although looking back, it’s still what I did!). The average sound session then was only an hour or two (!), and the few sound effects we had were played off records !
Now 24 years later it’s all changed, I work with the latest technologies to be able to take a brief, then create sounds which were impossible to do in those early days.
I have been lucky enough to win a Pencil for sound design on TV advertising and love working in Soho, with its creativity, time pressures and the variety of work, delivering countless Radio, TV and Cinema Campaigns”.
