Deneke Von Weltzien
Creative & Managing Partner - Jung von Matt/Alster
Deneke was born in 1958 in Stuttgart, Germany, but he doesn’t make a big thing out of it.
He started in advertising in 1983 with the promise that he would make record covers for famous rock stars. Two years later, he realised that this was a blatant lie, so he went to Springer&Jacoby to really learn the trade.
He quickly became an art director, and then a creative director, and then he moved on with Holger Jung and Jean-Remy von Matt to found Jung von Matt. As the work for clients like Porsche, Audi, BMW and Mercedes has been quite rewarding, he has never seen a reason to go elsewhere.
Deneke has won a fair amount of national and international awards and still enjoys what he is doing.
