Adam White

Adam White graduated from Leicester University in 1981 with a first class BA honours degree in Product Design. He had his first job at Pentagram in 1981 as a designer for Kenneth Grange, and became Senior Designer in 1985. He joined Seymour Powell as a Senior Designer between 1988 and 1997, becoming an Associate Partner in the latter two years.

In 1997 Adam jointly founded a new business called Factorydesign. With ten people, Factorydesign laid claim to designing the last flown seats in British Airways Concorde. Factorydesign regularly pitch against the best in the business and in the past year won the pitch to design the Etihad A380 fleet – the best job in the world.

Factorydesign work in transport, product, packaging and interiors, with clients like BA, Ford and Yamaha and global product brands like Remington and Yale. Factorydesign have recently seen the opening of their design for a new style of public bathrooms at both London Gatwick Airport and BAA Stansted.

Adam White judged for D&AD in 2008, the Hong Kong Chartered Society of Designers in 1997, Design Week in 2004, and the RSA Bursary judge from 1992 to 2002. He won D&AD Pencils in 1989 and 1994, is a 59 Club member and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
