In 1982, Alexandra Taylor, left her beloved home in Newcastle, to pursue her dream of playing for a Worldwide Advertising Agency.
Tim Delaney, then chief scout of BBD&O offered her apprentice terms in his creative department. However, after playing for only a few months, she defected to Saatchi & Saatchi.
She was made Head of Art by Paul Arden in 1990, and went on to be made joint Creative Director in 1994. During her time in advertising, she has achieved many of her goals, including four D&AD Yellow Pencils, Cannes Golden Boots and a BTAA player of the Tournament Award. She has scored more than 189 times in the D&AD cup. In ’06 she was named one of the players of the year in Archive magazine, for her outstanding contribution to Advertising.
The past two years, has seen her extending her coaching skills in Art Direction, not only with leading London clubs but worldwide. With her added contribution to D&AD Bespoke programme.
