To dramatise the fact that two or three breaths of toxic smoke will make you unconscious, we likened death by smoke inhalation to the respiratory effects of drowning. In an eerie, blue suffused scene, a bedroom underwater, we witness the unnerving tranquillity of a couple who have breathed their last breath.
