Lard Book
The brief was to create a beautiful and tactile catalogue to showcase the Lard furniture designed by Brooklyn-based product architects Commonwealth. This was to send out to potential furniture manufacturers who might be interested in producing the Lard range commercially. We proposed a brochure as unusual as the furniture it described; at first notobviously a book. Materials and print finishes were chosen to reflect the qualities of lard; the outer case, with its shiny text on a matte background, is suggestive of congealed fat, in sharp contrast to the inside pages.
